Start being visable on Linkedin
Linkedin is the most important channel for you as a freelancer and IT consultant.
You need to have a professional profile picture that is taken with good light and preferably that someone you know takes a picture of you smiling.  Preferably a picture that stands out, either a colorful background or colorful garments.

Feel free to choose a background image that shows your interests. For example, if you like golf, choose a picture that shows this. If you like skiing or mountaineering, choose such an image.
Write a short description in the text under your profile picture that quickly shows what you can help the customer with: “For example, 10+ senior.net developer, azure/devops, retail focus- available for new assignments” or “Senior Product Owner SAfe from insurance and banking”

Under summary, write 4-5 sentences about your experiences
and enter your email address and mobile number. Enter all your assignments and log in to the employer/client. Try to describe your role, how many people you were in the team, the purpose of the assignment and what you contributed. Also state the technique under each assignment/employment. (Just like you do in your consultant CV)
You should have at least 4 relevant recommendations Where your previous clients and colleagues describe you and your results in the role in question. A tip is to look at my recommendations for inspiration. >>

Be active on LinkedIn, preferably at least one activity a week.
Comment and share posts you want to be associated with, or better yet, write at least one post a month about your passion and skills. Or create a survey.
In this way, you are often seen on LinkedIn and stay relevant to consultant brokers and consultant clients.

Here are some tips for improving your CV
Start by creating a CV in Swedish and one in English
Choose a professional picture and always link to your Linkedin profile and enter your mobile number and email address
Highlight at least 2 recommendations from your recent assignments high up in your CV, for example:

“Martin has been a great project manager when we were going to change our ERP system. Stuck to budget and managed to communicate with all stakeholders. I can highly recommend Martin”  Development Manager and client Anna Johansson at Retailbolaget AB.

Always state the exact length of the assignment including months and company name and title, e.g. “Jan 2021- April 2022″ Senior java developer, Retailbolaget AB” You also need to be able to answer the following questions on each assignment:
You also need to be able to answer the following questions on each assignment: What is your role and what does it entail in short? How long was the assignment in terms of months? How big was the team you worked in? What roles were in the team, was everyone in place in Sweden? What were the challenges and how did you solve them? In what way did you contribute to the completion of the project? What happened after the “go”? How did you work with communication during the project? What did your team members and other stakeholders in the project/assignment think of your work? (include references)

More CVs if you have had more than one role If you have worked with different roles over the years, such as Product Owner and Project Manager or Scrum Master and Senior Developer, you need to create more CVs that you can send depending on the type of Assignment.

Make a CV where it is clear what type of project management you have worked with, as there is a big difference between having run a development project, sourcing project or ERP project, and state how many of the projects you have been employed or consultant on.
